MTSI designed, manufactured and tested seven (7) 4.4 MW, 11 KV and 50 Hz generator sets for use in Egypt by the Ministry of Development. These units were furnished under a subcontract with a Detroit Diesel Allison distributor. MTSI’s role in this project also included the organization of an extensive classroom & hands-on training program for Egyptian Operator personnel and startup support services in Egypt.

The packaged systems included the gas turbine & gear generator skid, a self cleaning intake air filter for combustion and engine compartment cooling air, a self contained diesel/hydraulic starting system and a separate PCR type portable control building for unit controls, generator switchgear and auxiliary power. Distribution switchgear was provided for three sites.
